The Alief Community “Bites” into The Alief Apple in its first annual event that takes place every August for the community to celebrate by cultivating an environment of entertainment and fun for all families alike!

This year’s celebration is graciously hosted by NBA’s Rashard Lewis of the Orlando Magic, 3B Family, and Alief Independent School District.

Alief Apple Committee

Alief Apple Committee led by the Alief Alumni Group, Inc.  This team makes it happen! The Alief Apple Committee is responsible for coordinating local nonprofit organizations and over 100 volunteers to make Alief Apple “The Largest Community Wide Celebration in Texas!

Alief Apple Committee works year-around to coordinate hundreds of details and day-to-day tasks essential to the planning and execution of the huge community wide celebration. It also acts as the liaison between participating member organizations, local military activities taking part in Alief Apple, and the departments of the City of Houston which provide key services absolutely essential to conduct Alief Apple.

One of the most important functions of the Alief Apple Committee is the funding of Alief Apple events that are not financially self-supporting.  Alief Apple Committee is funded entirely by the private sector and receives no governmental funding. Instead, it relies heavily on retail sales and corporate participation to remain self-sustaining.
